If you’re looking for the classic charm of Christmas filled with a Tree Lighting and classic holiday tunes, come to Thornebrook Village for this free event. On November 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be the annual lighting Tree Lighting with choral performances from the Gainesville Youth Chorus.
Brought to you by the Kirby Family Farm, a nonprofit organization dedicated to children and teen education, The Christmas Express is a ride you definitely don’t want to miss! Go on a trip around the expansive farm on an old-fashioned train, one of only three of its kind functioning in the world today!
See brilliant holiday lights adorning the landscape as you view live shows like the aerial acrobatics elf circus, an amazing show that the whole family will love. There’s even a Christmas character experience for the kids where they'll get to meet beloved characters like Rudolph and the abominable snowman. This special winter event in North Central Florida will be on from November 23 to Deccember 24.
This might not be a river you can skate away on, but it’s definitely something spectacular! From 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 1, come to North Florida Regional Medical Center and witness the magical site of their pond being illuminated by holiday lights. This will definitely get you into the Christmas spirit!
Come to Williston's Heritage Park and Pavillion on December 1 for the "Toys of Christmas" Parade at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade, there will be the Light Up Williston festivities including the tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. There will also be a children's choir, a reading from The Christmas Story, and a reading from the Bible.
On December 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., you and your family can become immersed in nature and surrounded by holiday lights at Ravine Gardens State Park. The admission fee for this event is $2, but children ages six and under get in for free.
