Krampus is one of the companions of Saint Nicholas in several regions. We are celebrating this year with a Krampus 5K & 10K.
Event Details
According to folklore, Krampus purportedly shows up in towns the night before December 6, known as Krampusnacht, or Krampus Night. In folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as “half-goat, half-demon”, who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts.
Plus, Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week is in December, so we will be donating at least 15% of each registration to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, which is is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

What: This is a 5K and 10K to virtual race, you choose your course and time yourself.
When: Complete your race any time in December, even better if it’s December 6, Krampusnacht.
*Medals and bibs will begin shipping at the end of November, and after that will ship within 2 to 5 days of signing up
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us).
Why: Because we love all children, even the naughty ones.
Cost: The price is $18 and that includes your medal, bib and shipping. Plus, at least 15% of every entry will be donated to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Run on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5K, 10K, half marathon and more!
