Film Screening: Saving Banksy
6:30 pm
"Saving Banksy" (1 hr. 20 min) follows art collector Brian Grief in his efforts to save a Banksy painting from being destroyed. Banksy is an internationally recognized graffiti artist who is shrouded in anonymity; his artwork is accessible to the public, usually discovered in small, everyday spaces in England. This film features some of the world's top street artists, and begs the question, "What would you do if you owned a million-dollar painting that the artist doesn't want sold?" Discussion to follow with Mr. Greif. This screening is in partnership with the Thomas Center Galleries, the Hippodrome Theatre and 352Creates.
