Event Details

As a communicator of Florida’s outdoors experience, we invite you to join us for “Springs Fever 2018” in beautiful Hernando County, nature’s place to play. We had such a successful event in 2017 that we're doing it again! If you're a seasoned pro or if you're just getting started in the field, this day of professional development and networking with fellow communicators will improve your ability to tell stories about the outdoors and outdoor adventures.
Who will want to attend?

Full-time or part-time outdoor and travel writers

Public information officers with natural resource agencies and environmental NGOs

Journalists with public interest or reporting responsibilities on Florida’s environmental issues

Scientists and researchers wanting to improve their communication skills

Current FOWA members do not need to register here. Your registration is included in your annual conference registration.

Springs Fever 2018 also gives you the opportunity to get to know members of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association, some of the outdoor industry’s leading print, broadcast and digital communicators, conservationists, and businesses. Our members are pros whose expertise can become valuable sources for referrals and best practices. You will meet future collaborators, learn about the state’s most pressing environmental issues, and generate leads that could otherwise take years to gather.
