Calling all Runners and celebrators of our community's stand against child abuse! The 7th Annual "Race against Child Abuse” needs you!
Event Details
This 5k and Kids One Mile Fun Run are fit for everyone, no matter your shape or size. Beginning and ending at the Marion Technical Institute, the race is fully escorted by the Ocala Police Department and family friendly.
For our serious running competitors the 5k Awards include:
Overall Individual Male/Female
Overall Master (40 ₊) Male/Female
Awards 3 Deep in 5 year Age Groups
Top Male/Female Sworn Law Enforcement Officers
Pre-Registration is only $25 and closes on March 24th. After the deadline, including day of, registration increases to $30 per racer. Children’s registration is only $5. ADULT shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 pre-registered, so don’t delay!
Registration and Packet pick-up opens at 7am and the race takes off sharply at 8am. The Kids One-Mile Fun Run jumps off at 8:30am.
Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection is Marion County’s Children Advocacy Center providing a safe and child friendly environment for children to discuss issues such as sexual and physical abuse, child neglect, and other trauma that has been inflicted upon them. Fundraisers such as this, allow us to continue providing critical services to Marion County’s most vulnerable asset, our children.
