Permanently Closed.. closed for good. Vellos Historic Brickstreet Grill thrives in the historical Downtown Gainesville. Our location was once home to a sandwich eatery owned by Andrew Vellos. Our restaurant was created as a tribute to the history of Gainesville and Alachua County. We are located at 115 SE 1st Street, which is paved with bricks dating back as far as 1885 and used for the construction of the red brick courthouse.


We have a diverse menu, focusing on classic regional dishes with a modern twist. From hand-cut USDA certified Prime steaks to fresh gulf seafood to gourmet flatbreads on hand rolled whole-wheat dough, you're sure to satisfy your cravings. Don't forget our happy hour everyday from 3-7: 1/2 off wine, beef, and liquor!

As of April 2014, we have opened an adjoining upscale private dining room, "The Pullman Room." With an 80 person capacity; two big-screen, HTML-compatible TVs; and a secluded, quiet space, we would love to cater to your next event. Whether you're planning a business dinner, social gathering, or a corporate celebration, let Vellos make your event extraordinary.
