Join us as we recognize the historic reading of the emancipation Proclamation in the last two states of the union.
Event Details
Two years after the actual signing enslaved people learned of their freedom in with the reading in Tallahassee Florida on May 20, 1865 and in Galveston, Texas June 19, 1865.
All profits will go to the completion of the Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on preserving African-American history and culture.
